Based out of North Marion High School’s renowned Bob Brack
Stadium, the Boones Ferry Bombers are new to the NWIBL’s
Columbia Division in 2012.
Started by Ty Brack, who played all of 2011 for the NWIBL
champion, Portland Pirates, the Bombers are comprised of many
former University of Portland players in addition to former
North Marion High School standouts who went on to play college
and professional ball.
The Bombers are set to play 10-plus games at Bob Brack Stadium,
located on Boones Ferry Road in Aurora, Ore., just south of
Wilsonville. The stadium, field, and new indoor hitting
facility was recently awarded as the best high school baseball
facility on the West Coast by the National Association of High
School Baseball Coaches.
All games played at Bob Brack Stadium will include promotions
and concessions designed to involve the surrounding community.
It is a community with a long history of being deeply invested
in the North Marion baseball program, which has produced two
major leaguers and countless collegiate student-athletes over
the past 30 years.
As a baseball team, the Bombers are set to establish themselves
as a continuous threat and title contender in the NWIBL. And,
as a club, the Bombers’ goal is to provide the NWIBL with a
top-notch facility, out of which community involvement, a
professional baseball atmosphere, and solid, entertaining
baseball will be cultivated.
